“What a joy it has been serving our Church and leading our congregation in worship. Worship has been a huge part of my life and the Lord has changed my life through it. It is an honor to have a calling to serve the Lord through worship. I pray expectantly for our Church and that the Lord uses me to best lead in accordance with His Will.”

Karsen Barnett,

Student Leader

Karsen grew up in the church, and after moving to Anderson in 2011, he and his family began attending Capstone. He has been part of the kids, youth, and now college programs. He started college at UofSC studying computer engineering, but after feeling a call to ministry, he changed majors and schools. He is now at Anderson University where he is working to achieve a Christian Studies degree with a concentration in Biblical Studies. He completed an internship with Capstone in the Spring of 2022, worked last summer at Look Up Lodge serving on Summer Staff, and then jumped into the youth program at Capstone that fall so he could continue serving in student ministry which he realized he had a passion for after his time at camp. Having grown up at Capstone, he takes great joy in teaching students from middle school to college helping them grow in their faith as he has during his time at Capstone.

Linda Fereira, Social Media, Office Assistant, Sam’s Shopper

Linda has been with the church since moving to the South from Minnesota with her family 10 years ago.  Always a northern gal looking for cold weather and hoping for snow, she has slowly found her place here in the land of sweet tea and grits.  A big part of that is in the work she does at Capstone.  Whether it’s helping to plan events, keeping up with the church’s social media pages, or making that run to Sam’s for Sunday morning coffee, she keeps things moving smoothly.      Married to Jim, who works at Anderson University, she enjoys her time and laughing with her adult children, Kristin, Kailyn, and Colton.
