Get Involved at Capstone Church

Below is a list of ways you can get involved and serve in the Capstone Church community.

Home Groups

Home Groups exist to support, care for and disciple every Capstone connected person. One of essential beliefs of Capstone is that growth happens best in groups. We believe in this connection for members and attenders because we want to learn together, care together, grow together, serve together and love together.

We have all experienced the wonder of plugging a lamp into an electric outlet. What was just a bunch of materials is now illuminated. Making that connection makes all the difference. Sometimes we all feel like we are wandering around alone in the darkness – unplugged. At Capstone, we feel that the best way for each of us to plug in, is in a Home Group.

What you will find:

  • Acceptance – a place to belong

  • Freedom – safe environment to ask hard questions

  • Friendships – relationships to connect for a lifetime

  • Encouragement – communal support and prayer

  • Understanding – God’s word taught and discussed

  • Wisdom – learning from others life experience

  • Expectation – loving others by serving others

Home Groups are at the core of what Capstone is all about. Friends living devoted to Christ. We are all at different stages of development and we are all striving together. Home Groups help you connect and find your place in the family.

Our groups meet in homes, workplaces and on campus at Capstone on various days of the week. In our Home Groups we pray, serve, have fun, study God’s word and build lasting relationships as we live life together. To connect to a home group contact Kris@capstonechurch.com

We are always searching for and building up new home group leaders and facilitators. Our HG leaders – pray for their groups, lead their groups in prayer, bible study, care, fellowship and mission, meet with church leaders, seek to build up individuals and form new groups and mentor potential new home group leaders. Our Teaching Pastor Kris Barnett works to plan with and prepare our Home group leaders. If you are interested in leading a group or maybe willing to host a group in your home, we would love to talk to you about next steps.

Building Crew

The Building Crew insures our buildings are in working order by performing a variety of hands-on maintenance jobs. Projects include painting, electrical work, proactive repairs and maintenance, and more. This team also has an opportunity to provide home repairs and such for people living in our local neighborhood. Additionally, the BC will provide set up, tear down and decorations for special events.

Café

Because relationship are an essential aspect of Capstone Church our Café each Sunday offers an opportunity to gather, greet and share over a cup of coffee prior to or after our our worship gatherings. If you have a hospitable attitude and a desire to help people connect with one another, serving with our Café team once a month or on special occasions would be an amazing way to help us create the atmosphere at Capstone Church where everyone feels welcomed and opportunities become available for relationships to be built and grown that can lead to gospel conversations and disciple-building.

Grounds Crew

The Grounds Crew is responsible for keeping the outside of our buildings looking clean, attractive, and inviting! Seasonally, the team is responsible for mulching, pulling weeds, maintaining flower beds, and trimming trees. Additionally, the GC maintains the playground.
