What We Believe

About God

God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. He has eternally exsisted in three distinct persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior for the lost world through His sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead. The Holy Spirit lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation and provides power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.

About Mankind

Mankind wascreated in the image of God and was made to be like Him in character. While God created man to have fellowship with Him, man became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. This attitude of sin separates man from God and man is incapable of restoring that relationship through his effort alone.

About Salvation
Salvation is a free gift from God to man. The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Man can do nothing on his own to make amends for his sins. Therefore, salvation occurs only when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ and repent of their sins. Eternal life begins the moment a person asks Jesus into his life by faith.
About Eternal Security
Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer's salvation is secure for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-sufficiency of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
About the Bible
The entire Bible is the inspired Word of God to all men. It was written by human authors, under the divine and supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living and is without error of any kind.
About the Christian Life
The life of a believer should be lived for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word of God, daily yielding to the Spirit of God, and selflessly serving others, every believer should be mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
About the Church
The church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to the lost world.
